Well I had a productive time over the bank holiday. Cleaning and checking bolts were all tight and not going to have a repeat of the DNF from the Newcomers race at Pembrey.
While doing so I checked over my rear tyre and can see that it has taken a fair beating over the 2 races (20 ish laps) of the Pembrey circuit. I know it was a soft tyre, a SC1 for those that are interested, but it has suffered a bit of  what appears to be cold tearing. Now I don’t know if that is because the pressure was wrong slightly wrong, because it was too soft for the conditions or because I have a problem with my rear shock settings. Which ever it is Mallory Park, with it’s newly laid surface which is reported to be really abrasive, will require new tyres.
