More Information From EasyTrack About Retirements and MSV Troubles

Garf 17 Chicane Before the Mountain Cadwell 2012 There have been a few more emails going around on forums about the situation with EasyTrack and MSV. Here is the latest which I have taken off a forum board, and just took out the names and posted below seems to confirm the story of the retirement of the main man at the company. It does sound like they intend to keep going and, on a the face of it, continue to honour the packs and track days people have ordered. I hope this is true and I have no reason to doubt it, the concern in my mind is that if the company has fallen out with MSV that does take a big chunk of the countries tracks (Oulton, Brands Hatch, Cadwell, Snetterton and Bedford Autodrome) out of the options of where they can run day. Hopefully they can all sort it out and I can get some much needed saddle time.

Hi XXXXXXXX
Yes the old owner suddenly decided to retire and walked off late last week. The rest of the team found out the hard way.
There was a situation with MSV (circuit owner) associated to the departing chap and 2 events this week were lost.
As of yesterday though, someone has stepped in to pick things up and I now have a new boss.

The intention is that all bookings/packs/credits etc will be transferred and honoured – the new car diary isn’t a lot different with some new dates/circuit in fact and will be going online next week.
Bikes are more complicated (since there are 5x as many bike track days we need more time to sort a calendar) but it will only be shortly after and where we have lost any date previously advertised by the “old” Easytrack we are in fact in discussions with another friendly organiser to take on our bookings.  Hopefully then, you will be enjoying Oulton on the days you already planned and as soon as things are confirmed, we will let you know.

We appreciate everybody’s patience and messages of support, the “on-the-ground” team is being transferred along with customer bookings so everything should be smooth for everyone.

Kind regards

Thundersports GB on Motors TV

As I am writing this I am catching up on the events at Donington that went on earlier in the month with Thundersports. I think I saw Darrel Jones and I definitely saw Richie Connell (and heard the sponsors getting a good few mentions too 😉 )  in the first race. Was a bit shocked to see the apparent former owner of my Gixxer, Jenny Tinmouth, out in the GP1 class. Hehe maybe I should get Richie to get her to confirm or deny that she ever had a GSXR 600 K6 race bike.

Do you have anything you'd like to add?
